The 20th Annual Los Feliz Village Street Fair is on for 2013!
Once again it will be on Hillhurst Boulevard on Saturday September 7th, from noon to 11 PM.. By police estimates approximately 30,000 happy people welcomed the celebration last year.
Los Feliz Village sits at the base of the mountain that holds the Griffith Park Observatory. A gem of a neighborhood with thriving independent shops and restaurants filled with local artisans wares, fashion, entertainment, fine dining and casual eats. People actually walk here! It is the kind of community that celebrates its uniqueness and the biggest expression of that is the Los Feliz Village Street Fair. Started in the early 1990's by a few restaurant owners who wanted to thank the community for their patronage, the fair has grown into an explosion of talented local shop & restaurant owners, artists and musicians bringing their very best to attendees more diverse than most cities in the U.S.
Our stages host talented musicians in a number of genres, as well as dancers and circus acts. In past years our stages have premiered the talents of performers who have gone on to gain national recognition, such as Inara George, of The Bird and The Bee, and Jazz-man Eli Brueggemann, now musical director of Saturday Night Live.
